For the biggest occasions, yes — honestly. A free search checks the day and the star. The paid plans also examine the sky at that exact minute, the way a pandit would for a wedding or a house entry, and that check can rule a time out. Free is a good answer; paid is the careful one.
Most of all, times chosen for you. A free search finds a time that is good in general. The paid plans also check every time against the birth chart of each person involved — the star and Moon sign you were born under, and the sign that was rising when you were born. They set aside any time that works against one of you and rank the rest by how well they suit you, so a wedding time suits both the bride and the groom. They also run the deeper check of the sky over the event's city at the exact minute it begins: for weddings and house-warmings on the 7-Day Pass, and for every event on Standard.
Both plans also show the dates and times to avoid, with the reason for each. If nothing in your range works, they tell you the next date that does. They look 6 months ahead instead of 3 months, and let you search as often as you like. The 7-Day Pass shows your top 3 windows. Standard shows every window we find, adds night-time windows, and lets you sign in on any device with just your email.
At any moment, one sign of the zodiac is rising in the east, and every planet sits in a set position from it. The deeper check looks at that picture for your event's city at the exact minute you would begin. If a planet tradition sees as harsh sits in the one position it treats as most dangerous, the time is ruled out. Otherwise, a time ranks higher when gentle planets — Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and a waxing Moon — hold the strong positions, and lower when harsh ones — Saturn, Mars, the Sun and the Moon's two nodes — hold them instead. Each finding is explained beside the time it affects.
On the 7-Day Pass, weddings and house-warmings — the two occasions tradition says need it most. On Standard, every event we search: weddings, house-warmings, business openings, property purchases, new vehicles, journeys, starting studies, medical procedures and any other new beginning. Free searches do not run it; they check the day, the star, and where the Moon sits from the rising sign.
